Date dues: Wednesday, January 24, 2004; Monday, February 16, 2004; Monday, March 29, 2004

  1. Have a team meeting. Make an agenda using the template. You must use this base agenda template for every meeting you have.
  2. Schedule weekly team meetings with Dr. Povinelli, Richard.Povinelli@Marquette.edu. Choose about three of:
    Monday: 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00
    Wednesday: 3:45, 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45, 5:00
    Meeting times with Dr. Povinelli are assigned FIFO, so make your requests early
  3. Start building your Group site in Blackboard. It will eventually include:
    1. Entry page
    2. Team members, contact information, and brief bios
    3. Minutes of each team meeting
    4. Copies of Weekly Status Reports (See Project Assignment 2)
    5. Copies of all deliverable documents
    6. Project prototype
    7. Other materials as appropriate and/or assigned
  4. Define your project and document it with a Project Statement Document .
  5. Develop a plan to successfully complete this iteration through the RUP and document it with a Software Project Management Plan. The most important part of this plan will be a who-what-when. This will be the driving management document for your project.
  6. Choose a fun name for your team.

General suggestions (very strong suggestions)

  1. Take minutes for each meeting, and post it to the Group website in Blackboard.
  2. Post agendas ahead of time on Blackboard
  3. Take turns for roles as scribe, time keeper, process checker, meeting leader.

Criteria for evaluation

The quality of the project statement and project plan. Is the project statement well conceived? Is the scope specific? Is it feasible, does it accomplish what is necessary, is everyone involved? Is the quality of the writing high?
